This weekend, for Easter they've been showing them, and I just want to say a bit about it, without ruining any of the plot.
I just want to point out at this point how much of a fan I am for the show. There isn't an episode I don't like.
Perhaps I should say there wasn't an episode I didn't like....
No, I shouldn't, as that would insinuate the new episodes were bad...and that is not something I can say is true.
It was worth the wait from November, since I heard it was being made then. The laughs were good enough and there were many, though I suspect less than normal, given they were using the story that the writers had been keeping for the Red Dwarf movie. Since it had three episodes, thats essentially what it was.
The lines were quality and it had a lot of tie-ins with the older stuff- although I did get the feeling they kind of tried too hard in that respect, trying to grip the nolstagic arm of the viewers. I didn't think it took away from it on the whole.
What slightly irked me a little, was the fact that they left it as open as they did. I would think after then 10 years cliffhanger, they might have rounded it up neatly, however, I can't say I'm completely surprised, since as I just mentioned the ten year cliffhanger and the few year cliffhanger at the end of season 6, it has become a sort of Red Dwarf trademark. XD
It was great.
On another note. I've been going without my normal inspiration for the past week, unfortunately.
I was almost beginning to forget how much it sucks staring at paper and not knowing what to do with it, and on the other hand, having stuff to colour on the computer and really not wanting to get it done.
I've had an ear infection, but taking medication for it, so I'm hoping when it clears up I may get some of that spark back. If my dream last night is anything to go by, my imagination is certainly in track.
So yeah, more news on that later.
Peace for now,
GC

Is it scary that I wrote that to some tune in my head...probably.
